Fleetwood Mac founder and drummer Mick Fleetwood is about to end his marriage to second spouse Lynn Susan Frankel Fleetwood. The couple married 17 years ago.
According to legal documents filed in Los Angeles, California, Mick Fleetwood has not yet filed for divorce. But it seems he wants to goes his own way because he filed papers requesting legal separation from his wife.
The 65-year-old drummer has cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the separation in his filing.
The musician has asked the court to recognise his sole ownership of earnings and property from before the couple's marriage. He has asked for joint legal custody of their children, twin 11-year-old daughters, but requested that his wife have primary physical custody.
Mick was previously married to Jenny Boyd, with whom he also has two daughters, Amy and Lucy. The pair married in 1970 before divorcing at the height of Fleetwood Mac's fame.
Mick infamously had an affair with Fleetwood Mac lead singer Stevie Nicks while married to Jenny.
Mick and Jenny would re-marry in 1976, but their second union ended in 1978.
Fleetwood Mac recently began a tour of the US and Canada, and have announced the release of a new ep. Part of that ep will be the song Sad Angel, here performed live at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia on April 6, 2013:
