Shawn Crahan, better known as Slipknot member #6, percussionist "Clown", has teamed up with two members of Sister Soleil plus a number of teenagers to make a music video on the negative effects of bullying.
The video is filmed at Geneva High School, 416 McKinley Ave in Geneva, Illinois. It will feature the song Stand for the Silent, written by Shawn Crahan and Sister Soleil, and hopes to support Stand for the Silent, an anti-bullying group.
A Phoenix studio owner has also released a song by the same name, to benefit the same organization.
Stand for the Silent was founded by Oklahoma State University students in 2010 after they heard about Tyler Smalley, an 11-year-old boy who killed himself. Tyler did so after being suspended from school for retaliating against people who bullied him. His parents are involved with the organization, speaking about bullying and its effects.
Sister Soleil features Stella Katsoudas of Chicago, who has also performed as Stella Soleil. She and Shawn have worked together in the band Dirty Little Rabbits.
Stella is looking for sponsors to help pay for the video production. If interested, visit her facebook page.
