- The song "Unanything" was recorded, but dropped from the album. It was a calm, melodic song, much like "Acrid Placidity". It was included on an early promo. It is also included as a bonus track on the Japanese version.
- Tomas Haake had the name of one song figured out already in 1995, "The Exquisite Machinery of Torture".
- The complete lyrics for the song "The Exquisite Machinery of Torture" was published in the Fanclub's newsletter already in early 1998.
