Heaven & Hell is a joint compilation album-rather than a studio project where Meat Loaf and Bonnie Tyler recorded together in the same room—the tracks are pulled from individual recording sessions across different master albums. However, because almost all the tracks were written, masterminded, or produced by Jim Steinman, a legendary, tightly-knit group of elite studio session musicians links the individual tracks together.
