Following the success of their single, My Desire, and hotly tipped by Ian Brown and Gary Crowley, Moke are set to release their debut album, Superdrag. Produced with Dave Eringa (Manic Street Preachers, Dub War, and Headswim) it fuses blues, rap, rock and breakbeat.

Superdrag runs the twentieth century musical gauntlet, but the sum of the whole weighs in heavier than the sum of the parts. Take a trip through Hide & Seek, as intense a look at relationships as you’ll get, or Another Weekend, the angry young brother to The Verve’s ‘The Drugs Don’t Work’. Mislaid The Key and Water, simple and beautiful songs where the maxim ‘less is more’ cannot be better illustrated. They play it straight too, with the humorous Sleepyhead and Wrong whilst the epic Powercut with its Dylan-like ‘Idiot Wind’ rant, boils up to a disturbing twisted finale.
