Oliver Kraus is a guitarist, composer, bandleader, and session musician, covering a wide range of musical styles and ensembles in the Rhein-Main region. For over 20 years, he has been part of the acoustic duo Just Friends. In addition, he regularly performs his own compositions live with his electric and acoustic bands. Since 2018, he has also been working as a textbook author for the Fingerprint publishing house.

After completing a five-year guitar program at FMW Frankfurt under Dirk Bell, Oliver Kraus studied with Kraan legend Torsten de Winkel and attended masterclasses with renowned musicians such as Scott Henderson, Dean Brown, Wayne Krantz, and Pat Martino. His time studying in Havana and his long-standing collaboration with Cuban and Brazilian musicians have significantly shaped his style.
