Positive Dub (originally released in 1987) is the instrumental companion to Black Uhuru's seventh studio album, Positive. It is particularly notable for being the final studio project to involve the "Junior Reid era" of the band. 

In January 2025, the album was reissued as a remastered remastered 2-LP gatefold set alongside the vocal version. 

The Musicians />The album features the powerhouse Taxi Gang and a rotating cast of high-profile collaborators: 

• Sly Dunbar: Drums.


• Robbie Shakespeare: Bass.


• Earl "Chinna" Smith: Guitar.


• Steven "Cat" Coore (Third World): Cello.


• Tony "Asher" Brissett: Keyboards.


• Christopher "Sky Juice" Burth: Percussion.


• Rass Brass: Horns. 

The Vocal Trio (Dubbed)
Although the vocals are heavily stripped back or echoed, the original sessions featured:

• Junior Reid: Lead vocals.


• Derrick "Duckie" Simpson: Harmony vocals.


• Olafunke: Harmony vocals (replacing Puma Jones, who is still credited on some versions).
