Debut album of the trio SADDEX. Saddex is the new project by Alessandro Bottacchiari (trumpet), Francesco Chebat (piano and synth bass), and Maxx Furian (drums).
To describe the trio Saddex, a few adjectives suffice: agile, compact, different. Bottacchiari, Chebat, and Furian aimed to create a truly special project, starting with the name: "Saddex" means "3" in Somali (!). It's no surprise, then, that their sound is also unique: the formation differs from the classic jazz trio and can be considered an evolution of the typical organ trio, inspired by groups like Joshua Redman's Elastic Band.
The tracks on the upcoming album were written by Chebat and Bottacchiari specifically for this formation, blending contemporary jazz, captivating melodies, and plenty of groove, with a solid and experienced rhythm section. The desire to experiment and unleash energy translates into the choice of electric sounds and a touch of electronics, just enough to add a psychedelic and vintage feel. A mix of rhythm, interplay, and electro-groove-jazz improvisations, engaging with its positive energy.
