Dan Aran is a celebration of friends and music. The title is a tag given to the musicians on this recording by their leader. Aran shares a combination of original compositions alongside arrangements from Rodgers and Hammerstein, Horace Silver, Mal Waldron, Jimmy Van Heusen and others from his "New York Family." The recording completed in spring of 2018 expresses a bond between this group of musicians who have assisted each other in coming to New York City to place their name on the musical map.
