This was the debut Atomizer album. After stabilizing the line-up of Jason Healey (bass/vocals), Suds (drums) and Justin Allen (guitar), Atomizer conitued working on the songs that had been written since the band's inception and while we hadn't considered too much the prospect of doing a full length, Karnage from the newly formed End All Life Productions label contacted us about a potential split LP with another Australian band. After further talks it was decided that this should be a full length album, and in November 1999 we went into Cutting Edge Studios to begin the recording process.
This was definitely one of the best recording experiences we had as a band and things ran very smoothly and it was really satisfying to hear the songs sounding as they did with this line up and the added benefit of 5 months solid rehearsal prior.
The album was released by End All Life productions around April of 2000, and it was at that time the largest pressing they had done, and the only colour cover they had released.
A CD version of 'The End Of Forever' was released by the band in July 2000. It was originally intended exclusively for a vinyl release, but how were we to know that people would actually like it, and that there were opportunities for us to tour etc. So a CD was required and Justin's 'label' The Devil's Own Records made this available.
During 2002, a cassette version was released by InCoffin Productions from Thailand.
In 2003, Atomizer came to an arrangement with Agonia Records from Poland to release the band's third album and as a part of this deal, the label agreed to reissue 'The End Of Forever' as 'The Death Of Forever' with new artwork and two bonus tracks.
In 2006, after numerous problems with a label that won't be mentioned, Hells Headbangers saved the day and released a Pic Disc version with artwork along the lines of the Agonia CD reissue and a new diecut sleeve.
