iDrum- a fully interactive magazine for drummers the world over.
Part of Road Rock Music International Ltd

iDrum Magazine represents a new age in drum journalism. We are proud to say that iDrum is the very first, and only, truly interactive online magazine devoted to drummers and percussionists worldwide. iDrum Magazine utilises all the available digital technologies so that you can flick through the pages of the magazine, easily navigating your way through all the latest drum news, reviews and interviews.

Issue 1 kicks things off splendidly with an inspiring and in-depth video interview with the legend that is Neil Peart. Make sure you stay tuned for issue 2 to see the rest of that interview. Yes, he does have that much to say, and trust us, its all gold. You can’t afford to miss out on the sensational Neil Peart giveaway, worth in excess of $15,000 and including a set of four of Neil’s favourite DW touring snares in a red velvet lined road style display case, plus a set of Sabian Paragon Cymbals and a brick of Neil’s custom designed ProMark sticks.

Also in issue 1, we have interviews with Jamiroquai’s Derrick McKenzie, Gil Sharone, Simon Phillips and Gavin Harrison, as well as coverage of the extraordinary John Bonham tribute night at NAMM. Our Tech Sessions pages host the forerunners in drum tuition from both sides of the pond, who sit with you and demonstrate a whole host of grooves, chops and musical styles. With video tutorials, written lessons and downloadable notation PDFs, it has never been easier to learn new rhythms in the comfort of your own home.

If you are thinking of buying new drums, cymbals, percussion, sticks or hardware, but don’t know where to start looking, overwhelmed by the torrents of online reviews, look no further. iDrum’s video reviews show exactly how the instrument sounds and looks, at the click of a button. Not to mention interactive adverts from all the major drum companies, displaying your favourite drummers playing their favourite kit. Issue 1 also presents coverage of the NAMM show in Anaheim, California, with video demonstrations of all the latest gear due to launch in 2011, directly from the folks who developed and designed it – talk about ‘straight from the horse’s mouth’!

iDrum Magazine is a labour of love for everyone involved, and the whole team are honoured and delighted to introduce ourselves to you in issue 1. It has been said (mostly amongst ourselves!) that drummers are a rare breed. But we are an ever-expanding community, always keen to impart our knowledge and experience, learn new skills and share our stories. iDrum Magazine is the ultimate platform on which to do all of this, and more. We’re all here for the same reason after all: we love to play. So let’s spread the word, keep the music alive, the rhythms pumping and the industry thriving.
