The band's ultimate recording, according to everyone. Which, to be honest, is relative to what they released before. Features supreme versions of all the previously recorded songs, plus four all new tracks. Though the recording time spanned over less than three days, the production is infallible. Initially released as a vinyl EP with five tracks, saving two for some split EP that was never released. The EP sold pretty well, and Relapse decided to ca$h in on it, money grabbing swine that they were.
Thusly, the EP tracks and the two unreleased songs were all released on the CD version, which is really really good and if you don't already have it then what the f*ck are you waiting for it's not impossible to get a hold of moneymoneymoney...Yeah, right. A few slight misprints on the sleeve but nothing to get f*cking upset about the stupid f*cki...
Vinyl contains "legendary" stylish pictures of the band (especially the drummer), strangely enough omitted from the CD release. Etching on vinyl reads "Hello Grant you sexy hunk" due to strange goings on between aforementioned singer and Relapse staff.
Not much else to say about this, except maybe that Matti sounds not unlike a combination between a walross and a flushing toilet on some parts. The insane screaming on "Slithering..." is not an old hag on crack, but Mr. McWilliams. Completely excellent if we may say so ourselves, modest as we are.
