Kitano Drums commenced designing and manufacturing plant equipment centrally made of stainless steel in 1964. Soon, we became interested in titanium as industrial material to be further exploited. Acouple of years later, it shifted its production to chemical tanks in titanium believing greater possibilities in the material.

Based on the extensive study and technology garnered through those years, we joined music products industry with world's first titanium drum kit in 1989. For sometimes in the early days, we started sale of titanium drum toward the world Rock circle market through other brand. but started selling the line itself under 'Kitano' brand name in 1995. In due course, we introduced some innovative products including hoops, beater, lugs, washer, cable and hi-hat clutch (largely) made of titanium and tension bolts made of brass. We have established itself a reputation as 'Titanium Expert' in Japan.
