Tyler Berg is drummer in Chicago-based band Sidewalk Chalk.



Berg was born in South Korea but grew up in Royal Oak and graduated in 2005 from Dondero High School, where he played snare in the school marching band.



Tyler Berg majored in Jazz Studies and soon met some other musicians that clicked with him. Together, they formed Sidewalk Chalk, an 8-piece band that blends hip-hop, soul, and jazz sounds.



In 2012, Sidewalk Chalk was named 'Most Outstanding Group' at the Chicago Music Awards.
