John Thomas Osander is a drummer/percussionist who is well know as the drummer for Damien Rice. Born in the US, Osander moved to Ireland in the late '90s. He began playing with Rice in 2000 and over the next several years recorded both the albums 'O' and '9'.



He was formerly a member of God Street Wine and has played with Lisa Hannigan, Herbie Hancock, Taj Mahal and the Black Crowes among others.



Tom Osander parted ways with Damien Rice in 2007.
