Left handed drummer Steve Negus (1952) began his music career touring with bands such as Fludd, Fullerton Dam, Shelter and Bananas, but more notably Chris de Burgh (The Getaway) and Rupert Hine (Waving Not Drowning).
Steve Negus became one of the founding members of the internationally known group Saga, who toured extensively across the world, throughout South America, Europe, Canada and the United States. To date, Saga have released 17 albums and continues to realease new CDs and tour worldwide. Saga's highlights include the top 30 album and single in the U.S. and 3 top 10 albums in Germany.
In addition to his busy career with Saga, Steve and Saga keyboard player/vocalist Jim Gilmour decided to exercise their diverse creative talents and formed a new musical project called GNP or the Gilmour Negus Project. Shortly after, Steve and Jim released their first CD on Virgin Records in Toronto.
