Simon Smith played drums in indie icons The Wedding Present between 1988 and 1997. The album "Ukrainski Vistupi v John Peel" marked the recording debut of the band's new drummer Simon Smith, recruited after original drummer Shaun Charman exited to form the Popguns.



When The Wedding Present reformed in 2004 the line-up saw Kari Pavlovaa as Smith's replacement.
