Sal Rodriquez has been playing professionally for over thirty years, the last fourteen of which he has been a member of the group War.
Sal has also toured the world with such greats as The Duke Ellington Orchestra, Tom Jones, Jose Feliciano, Tierra, El Chicano, Texas Mex Legend "Little Joe & La Familia", Chuck Negron of Three Dog Night and many others. Sal Rodriquez has also had the privilege of sharing the stage with some of his idles like Carlos Santana, Tony Bennett, The Doobie Brothers, Tower of Power, Malo, Aretha Franklyn, Earth Wind And Fire, AWB, Alice Cooper, Los Lobos and his all time favorite band Grand Funk, and the list goes on.
Sal Rodriquez has appeared in movies and on television including such shows as Conan O'Brian, Regis and Kelly, The Today Show on NBC, and Motown Live, the movie Mars Attacks starring Tom Jones, the television sitcom Full House staring John Stamos, television series American family starring Edward James Olmos and Raquel Welch, in which Sal gets his first speaking role with Raquel. And most recently The George Lopez TV sitcom.
When Sal Rodriquez is not on tour with the group he stays busy in Los ANgeles working the local club scene, producing, recording sessions, and organizing fundraisers for schools and various non profit groups in the community along with being a family man raising two kids; daughter Sheila age 15 and his son Little Sal "his best buddy" age 8 and his beautiful wife Madeline.
Sal's inspiration is to become a full time comedian, play piano, sing his favorite Beatles songs and of course making people laugh.
