Matz Robert Eriksson (1972, Eskilstuna), also known as Robban, plays drums in The Hellacopters. He has been since he co-founded the Hellacopters in 1994. Previously Robert Eriksson had played in Sewergrooves, God Kills, Sexsationals, Killbillies, Celeborn and Bad Reputation.



Explains Robert Eriksson the group’s odd origins:

"Nicke Anderson, our singer was the drummer in the metal band Entombed, and I was his drum tech for a big American tour in early 1993. Then I ran into him on the subway in Stockholm later, and he said, ‘I’m going to form another band. Do you want to play drums? Because I want to play guitar and sing.'"

Eriksson names Keith Moon, John Bonham, Mitch Mitchell, "Philthy" Animal Taylor, Jay Burnside and Dennis Thompson as favorite drummers.
