Richard de Jager is best known as Rude Rich, drummer and band leader in Rude Rich and the High Notes. This collective began in 1998, with the same love of and interest in the original Jamaican music style of Ska, Rock Steady and Reggae, from the years 1960 - 1975.



Previously, between 1983 and 1998 De Jager played drums in Bussum based ska band Mr. Review using the moniker Docta Rude.
