Ray "The Reverend" Mondo joined The Cult in 1984. Back then the band was called Death Cult and had already one slit-up in their history.
Ray Mondo replaced original drummer Haq 'Aky' Quereshi.
Previously Mondo played in a band calles Ritual, and after time in Sex Gang Children, who hired him after loosing Nigel Preston to Death Cult/The Cult.
After two singles the band decided to rename themselves to Cult. Around the same time Ray Mondo was replaced by Nigel Preston on drums.
