The seminal New York hardcore band Warzone was formed in the mid-'80s by charismatic singer/frontman Ray Beez. During its decade-long career, the lyrically positive band encompassed many members, and released numerous 7-inches and albums that appealed to their underground following, most notably 1996's The Sound of Revolution, produced by Bad Brains' Dr. Know, and 1997's oi!-influenced Fight For Justice, produced by Tony Victory, both on Chicago's Victory Records label.
What is less known to many is Ray Beez' talents as a drummer. Not only was he an excellent frontman, but also knew how to hit the skins. Ray was drummer in Agnostic Front between 1982 and 1984.
Ray Beez drummed on "United Blood", the classic debut album with a length of eleven minutes (!) by Agnosic Front in 1983. He was replaced by Dave Joners and later started his own band Warzone.
Sadly enough Ray Beez died due to pneumonia on 8 August, 1997.
