Steve DiStanislao, also known as Stevie D, is touring and session drummer, producer and vocalist.
Steve DiStanislao hit the road as drummer in The New Earth Mud, the new band of former Black Crowes singer Chris Robinson.
In April 2004 the revised line-up of The New Earth Mud is completed by: Audley Freed (guitar), George Reiff (bass) and Rob Barraco (keyboards).
Steve DiStanislao's career has included work with luminary artists such as David Gilmour, Crosby/Nash, Kenny Loggins, Don Felder, David Crosby and CPR, Paul Anka, Chris Robinson,& The New Earth Mud (singer w/ Black Crowes),The Carl Verheyen Band, Loggins & Messina, Joe Walsh, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Richard Sherman (Disney's Sherman Brothers) and many more.
Steve DiStanislao and bassist/vocalist Shem von Shroeck have formed a new band called The Apex, in which the team collaborates on all aspects of the productions.
Steve DiStanislao also plays jazz with Lit By Fireflies (jazz quartet; piano: James Raymond, bass: Andrew Ford, saxophone: Steve Tavaglione).
Stevie is the owner of SDE Enterprises and is the creator of the drum accessory product The Stick Hammock.
Stevie has recently signed on with Crosby, Stills & Nash to play drums and sing for their 2012 world tour. In addition, Stevie D is also currently working with former Eagles guitarist Don Felder on a regular basis and has been actively recording in L.A on many different musical projects as well as producing.
