Drummer Reidar 'Horgh' Horghagen played in Norwegian black metal band Immortal since 1996, replacing session drummer Jan Axel vom Blomberg (also known as Hellhammer). In 2003 the band splits up.



In January 2004 Horghagen officially replaced Lars Szöke in Swedish death metal band Hypocrisy. The reason, according to frontman and band leader Peter Tägtgren on metal-reference.com:

"It just got too silly. Lars hasn't owned a drum set for 10 years now, and that's an example of how dedicated a drummer he is... It just got so fucked up... we couldn't develop, 'cause he's not developing. So we employed Horgh. He's a talented drummer and has a strong personality. And he's dedicated to the music".

Another reason might be that Reidar 'Horgh' Horghagen is also the drummer in Pain, Tägtgren's other act...



Reidar 'Horgh' Horghagen also played drums in Grimfist since they started in October 2001. In June 2004 Grimfist announces the departure of Horghagen. The band states: "Due to his position in Hypocrisy, he is not able to provide Grimfist the priority needed, and therefore Frediablo and Ole has decided to start the search for a new skinsman."
