Pepe Espinosa was born in Havana (Cuba) in 1974 and began his musical studies at age four with his great father Pepin Drum. He then moved on to study at the Conservatory of Music in Havana Adolfo Guzman. Already at the age of twelve Pepe Espinosa started his first experience with the famous Saratoga Joint Bongosero.



Pepe Espinosa has worked with the Dada Group 1995, Italy 1996 Group Tour "Bamboleo" and participated in important festivals in Europe and the United States. Cubanisimo Berlin. Midsummer Jazz Lincoln Center Festival in New York. 2000 Frank Emilio Flynn and his Friends "Jazz Festival in Charleston (South Carolina) United States. Numerous concerts throughout much of Germany in 2001, Azucar Negra Lincoln Center (New York), Copacabana Club (Manhattan) USA 2003, Group Klimax (Giraldo Piloto) Pop Corn in Munich. Tour Europe 2004 Afro Cuban All Stars participating in numerous jazz festivals in many cities in Europe and Central America United States of America. 2005 "Cubanismo" (Jesus Alemañi) Many toured several cities in Asia and the United States. BB King (New York) Cubanismo Blue Note (New York) Cubanismo,S.O.B (New York) 2006 Timba Loca,Jerry Gonzalez y Los Piratas Del Flamenco "performing concerts in many cities in Spain.
