Paul Thomson plays drums in Glasgow band Franz Ferdinand. The art-damaged rock quartet named themselves after the Austro-Hungarian Archduke whose murder sparked World War I. The line-up is completed by bassist Bob Hardy, guitarist Nick McCarthy, and singer/guitarist Alex Kapranos.
