On March 29, 1976 Patrick Johansson was born as Patrik Kurt Åke Johansson in a small town called Falun in middle of Sweden. After seeing KISS on a TV show he started play the drums at the age of six.



As Patrick Johansson grew up in Sweden he played with a lot of different bands. They recorded demos and played gigs around in Sweden as much as they could, Patrik was busy almost every day. The most succesful bands were "Dinner at 8" and "Shades". Unfortenly non of the bands got signed. Tobbe from "Dinner.." and Patrik formed a Trash Metal band witch later became "Without Grief".



1996:

After 14 years of hard work, practice, recording demos, and touring (in the

smallest places you can imagine) both in Sweden and parts of Europe, Patrick Johansson finally got signed on Danish label Serious Entertainment with the band Without Grief. Their debut album "DeFlower" was recorded in Denmark later the following year.



Stormwind released Ressurection in 20000, their most sucessful album so far. The band toured the album as usual, and six month later they started to work on their next album Reflections.



After the recording session with Stormwind Patrick Johansson left the band. He joined Yngwie J. Malmsteen's Rising Force as a drummer on the Attack! Tour, early 2004. In the band was also Derek Sherinian on keyboards (ex, Dream Theater, Alice Cooper and KISS), Doogie White on vocals (ex, Rainbow), Mick Cervino on bass (Blackmore's Night. After the tour Patrik spent some time in L.A and in the spring of 2002 he played on Yngwie Malmsteen´s new album "Attack" which was released in the fall of 2002.



Patrik Johansson is not to be mistaken with drummer Anders Johansson who participated in Yngwie Malmsteen's tour through Sweden in 2000.



In July 2005 Patrick Johansson teamed up with former Dio/WWIII guitarist Tracy G and Italian hard rock singer Chris Heaven for the recording of a song for an upcoming David Lee Roth tribute CD.



Drummer Patrick Johansson also released the debut album, "The Hunter", on September 19 via Mausoleum Records with his other band Prey. Production duties on the effort were handled by Anders "Theo" Theander, who has previously worked with Last Tribe, Pain Of Salvation, Cloudscape and Courageous, among others.
