Mike Luce plays drums in Fort Wayne, Indiana metallers Drowning Pool. Luce grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana. He is pretty much just the self taught kid up in the bedroom banging away on the drum set that his mom bought him. Mike Luce has a few lessons tucked under his belt, but nothing substantial. Luce names Tommy Lee as a musical influence:

"That was the guy that I was just in awe of when I was growing up. I think Morgan Rose with Sevendust is just amazing. I would go back during the show, behind the drum riser and watch him during a set. It just blows my mind to watch him. I think Danny Carey from Tool is amazing. I think John Tempesta is alright too. I really like him. I think he is a great drummer."
