Michel Morvan is a French musician. He started with the drums in 1978 as a self-taught musician, after having played the piano from the age of three. However, it soon became obvious that his passion for the drums would lead him to turn professional. He started listening to rock, then around the age of 18, he discovered funk, jazz, fusion and much more music he loved to play.
He attended the Agostini drum school with Dominique Hamet in his early twenties, and later studied with Dom Famularo, then Jack DeJohnette.
Michel has played with lots of musicians in all kinds of genres, all over Europe.
He played with Mirages and Urban Trad. He also was a drum instructor and used Tama drums and Meinl cymbals.
On July 3, 2010, Michel died at home after he went into full cardiac arrest.
