Markus Niemispelto is drummer in Mehida (featuring Mikko Harkin of Sonata Arctica and Thomas Vikström of Candlemass, and Therion), Wingdom (featuring Sami S. Asp who used to work in LA with drummers like

Virgil Donati), and Random Eyes (Finnish melodic hard rock trash).



Markus Niemispelto previously played drums in Essence of Sorrow, featuring Divinefire guitarist Jani Stefanovic. Their debut album also featured Mats Levén (Therion, At Vance, ax-Yngwie Malmsteen), Andreas Olsson (Divinefire, Narnia), Patrik Gardberg (Ammotrack), and Plec (Unmoored) as special guests. Niemispelto departed because he didn't have the time for it, and was followed up by Rolf Pilve.



Niemispelto works mainly at a studio, called Drumforeststudios, which is run by the drummer himself and his older brother.
