Maciek Schejbal holds an MA degree in classical percussion from the Academy of Music in Cracow, Poland. He performed with various classical, theater, pop, and jazz ensembles traveling around Poland and Europe.
Maciek Schejbal lived nearly a decade in South Africa where he became a part of the local music and theatre scene - performing, teaching, and composing.
Since moving to New York in 1993 he has been performing and recording with various artists including Tony Cedras, Bakhiti Kumalo, Kaďssa Doumbč and others. Maciek Schejbal's interest in African music started an African drumset class at the Drummers Collective.
