When local drummer Luke Shafer joined Eric Seaman (bass) and Jake Adams (guitar,vocals) in the summer of 2002, Valkyrie was born.



Shafer got married in April 2004 and left the band to move to Nevada, leaving a space for Mike Hoke, a long-time friend of Jake and Pete.
