Hey everybody!

I started drumming at the age of six. However, drumming became an obsession with me when I saw a live concert of Prince in Ahoy Rotterdam (I was seven years old). Since that time I practiced as much as I could and when I was nine I started performing on the street during Queens Day (huge festival in the Netherlands) to raise money for a bigger drumset.

At the age of 13 I won a couple of talentshows (Kunstbende, Bijna Beroemd) and that led to a lot of performances and drumclinics. For instance; I performed with Cesar Zuiderwijk (drummer Golden Earring) in front of 25.000 people and I did a supporting act for Simon Phillips (drummer Toto) and Thomas Lang (worldwide drumming sensation).

I graduated from High School in May 2012 and the next thing I want to do is to study at Berklee College of Music. I already did a 5-week Summer Program organised by Berklee (in 2011). This was a mind blowing experience, more than thousand international musicians came together at that Summer Program. It was sooo much fun! Now I want to study at Berklee for the full time. Many great musicians have studied there; John Blackwell (drummer Prince/Justin Timberlake), Vinnie Colaiuta (drummer Sting) and Quincy Jones (producer Michael Jackson)! I hope to begin at Berklee in September this year.
However, I'm also a participant for the Roland Worldwide V-drums Contest held in Frankfurt (april 11th 2013). This contest is really special because the contestants can only use an electronic drum kit.

Because of all these exciting things that are about to happen, I started blogging on Youtube and my website! I'm trying to make inspiring and good (drum)videos about everything that is happening this year!
