Kevin Thomas Lane was born in Kingsport, TN on November 27th, 1986. He was about seven years old when he first got the chance to play drums.
Recalls Kevin: "My older brother's band had practiced in the basement and his drummer left his set, so I hopped on the kit and banged away at 7 AM before I had to leave for school, not the most convenient of times to play I guess, but fortunately this is what sparked my interest to play drums. About a year later I got my first kit, a 5 piece black wrapped kit from a company called Sound Source"
After a few years of just jamming around with friends and making subtle attempts at starting some garage bands, Kevin Lane decided to try taking it to the next level in his sophomore year of high school. He started his first legitimate band, called Afternoon at the Autopsy, and Kevin cut his first demo.
A couple of years later another band followed: Speak of the End. Next, Kevin Lane took up the offer to tryout for Whitechapel, replacing initial sticksman Derek Martin. Kevin soon after recorded their first full-length album 'The Somatic Defilement', released in 2007.
Kevin Lane departed with Whitechapel in January 2010.
