Hailing from Arkansas, Kathy Mendonça was the original drummer for the Portland, Oregon based indie band The Gossip. She was dismissed from band in 2003, before the recording of 'Standing in the Way of Control' to become a midwife. Kathy Mendonça was followed up by Hannah Blilie.
