Kaspars born in Riga. His musical experience started when he was 7 years old. In the beginning He took classical piano, theory and percussion lessons in music school.
Since 1996 touring all over the Europe with several youth chamber orchestras, his music career and experience growth. Since age of 15 he started to play drums professionally in local funk and jazz bands in Riga. Kaspars took private lessons and participate in workshops with people such as Danny Gottlieb, Phil Maturano, Joost Lijbaart, Joey Baron, Peter Erskine, John Clayton, Fred Hersch and others.
After those years in classical music education in 2003 Kaspars got Socrates Erasmus scholarship, that gave him chance to study percussions in Conservatory in Utrecht - and 2004 attended in Conservatorium of Amsterdam in jazz department having lessons with Dutch jazz greats such as Lucas van Merwijk, Joost Lijbaart, Gerard Jeltes, Bart Fermie, Marcel Seriese.
Kaspars is musically active with different bands live and studio performances of musical styles such as jazz, fusion, brasilian- samba, bossa nova, funk, pop-rock, playing drums and percussions.
