Melbourne native Joshua Priest was pursuing a master's degree in percussion performance at the University of Colorado in Boulder, USA when he was offered a one-year contract to tour Australia with hit musical "Mamma Mia!" in 2011.



In his youth Joshua Priest spent a lot of his time performing with the Brevard Symphony Youth Orchestra, the Florida Youth Orchestra, at Southwest Middle School and then Bayside High.

He also played in the pit orchestras at Cocoa Village Playhouse and the Henegar Center for the Arts. His first paying gigs were with the Space Coast Pops and the Treasure Coast Symphony.
