John Silver played in Genesis in 1969 replacing initial drummer Chris Stewart who was featured on the band's first couple of singles. Silver shayed only for a couple of months.
When record label Decca agreed to finance Genesis' first full length album "From Genesis to Revelations" (1969) initial drummer Chris Stewart had been fired and replaced by John Silver, who in turn gave away to John Mayhew shortly after the recording of the bands third Decca-single "Where the Sour Turns to Sweet".
