John is a master drummer with over twenty-five years experience teaching and playing in his specialty of Haitian and Cuban music. He is the author of The Music of Santeria, and has taught and performed at Yale University, Mannes College, and New England Conservatory. John has numerous recordings to his credit, as well as performances for theater and film.
