Jochen Hachgenei was born 1961 in southern Germany. After making contact with Latin Percussion Instruments he decided to become a musician. Hachgenei went to conservatory in the Netherlands and developed his kwnowledge and playing. As a timbalero he played with "Las Siete Potencias" and "ChaCharanga". Since several years Hachgenei is the percussion player of "Son Asi" and in 2003 they recorded the CD "la bicicleta".



Jochen Hachgenei is also teaching percussion and guiding Salsa-workshops in the Muziekpakhuis in Amsterdam .
