Jimmy Copley has worked with Paul Rodgers, Gillan, Beck, Whitesnake, Tears For Fears, Paul Young, Graham Parker, and Seal among others.
In April 2004 Tony Martin is fired from M3.
In 2008 Jimmy Copley released his first solo album, 'Slap My Hand'.
Copley has been banging the skins ever since his uncle sat him behind a full-size drum kit when he was 5 years old. By the time he was 18, his dad had built him a studio near his home in southeast London.
He got his first big breakthrough when he recorded the album UPP with Jeff Beck and toured the United States in 1976 with the legendary British guitarist.
Throughout the 1980s and '90s, Copley worked with an eclectic set of musicians, notably touring with pop duo Go West - who charted in Britain with "We Close Our Eyes" in 1985 - and Tears For Fears on their "Seeds of Love" world tour four years later.
More recently, Copley has worked with British rock band Magnum, for whom he still plays, while his old mate Beck, former Whitesnake guitarist Bernie Marsden and bassist Pino Palladino are among a string of illustrious guests that turn up on Slap My Hand.
Jimmy Copley als plays drums in M3, the "classic Whitesnake" tribute group featuring former Whitesnake members Bernie Marsden and Micky Moody on guitar and Neil Murray on bass (also ex-Black Sabbath). The line-up is completed by Mark Stanway on keyboards (ex-Magnum) and vocalist Tony Martin, former frontman of Black Sabbath.
