After Peter Barnevic had left the band in the second half of 1990, Incantation was on the hunt for a new drummer. So the band put another ad and shortly after got a reply from Jim Roe. After they rehearsed with Jim on drums, all members thought Jim fit in the band perfectly.
Early 1993 Jim "Eno" Roe decided to leave the band, "due to personal resons". Around November of 1993, Incantation recruited John Brody on drums (previously from the band Deteriorot).
The future plans for Incantation were to record a new album in early 1994, then to tour shortly after. Due to this, previous drummer Jim Roe was asked to do session drums on the recording, so John Brody could concentrate on getting ready for the upcoming tour of Europe, which would be Incantation's first European tour. The recording of "Mortal Throne of Nazarene" and the European tour with Sinister and Deadhead were a success.
