Gerhardt 'Jerry' Fuchs grew up playing the drums in Georgia and went on to perform with bands that toured across the country, but it was in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, that he forged his reputation as a dynamic, driving drummer widely esteemed by his peers.



Gerhardt Fuchs was a prolific drummer for bands including !!! (pronounced Chk, Chk, Chk), Maserati, and The Juan MacLean. Previously he played with bands such as The Martians, Space Cookie, with Nuçi Phillips in an as of yet untitled project (which'd eventually be called Koncak), Vineland, Turing Machine, and Holy Ghost!.



In November 2009 Gerhardt Fuchs died in a bizarre accident by falling down an elevator shaft.



Shortly before his tragic death, he had performed with an electronic band from Toronto, Mstrkrft, on the Late Show With David Letterman.
