Jeff Olson co-founded Chicago doom metallers Trouble in 1979, with vocalist Eric Wagner and guitarists Bruce Franklin and Rick Wartell. The initial line-up was completed by bassist Sean McAllister. Olson quit in late 1985 entering into church. 1987's "Run To The Light" saw Trouble with a fresh rhythm section of bassist Ron Holzner and drummer Dennis Lesh.
Jeff Olson was welcomed back to the fold for Trouble's 1995 album "Plastic Green Head". Olson replaced Barry Stern who had left to join Cathedral on tour.
2005 saw Jeff "Oly" Olson also hit the skins in Wet Animal, the Illinois-based quartet also featuring Trouble guitarist Rick Wartell.
