As legal heir apparent of master drummer Regino and omo aña (sacred master drummer) Javier Campos Martinez is Havana's most prominent performer of the young generation of Batá drumming.



Currently Javier Campos Martinez is professor at the 'Instituto Superior del Arte' in Havana and the Conservatory of Rotterdam.



Tours brought Javier Campos Martinez all over Europe as well as Peru and Venezuela. He recorded for Pan Records, Via Records and World Network.



2005 saw the release of the outstanding educational DVD "Cuban Rumba".
