Janik Hüsch, born 1990 in Waldbröl, Germany, grew up in a musical family. He discovered his love for music at an early age and made his first experiences in his father's band. At the young age of 11 he formed his first rock band. From this point on, Janik knew that he wanted to become a musician.
In 2011 he graduated from the renowned "Popkurs" at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz in Hamburg where he studied under Jost Nickel, Curt Cress and Peter Weihe, to name a few.
He then settled in the Netherlands where he studied Jazz & Pop drums at the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten in Arnhem (under René Creemers, Etienne Nillesen, Pieter Douma, Joop van Erven amongst others) and graduated with his Bachelor of Arts' Degree in 2015.
Since then, Janik is moving back and forth between Germany and the Netherlands (and beyond) to play live or studio gigs with his bands!
He is also working as a lecturer and band coach at the Ev. Popakademie in Witten and the Ev. Hochschule Bochum.
