As a kid Jan was already fascinated by everything that made a lot of noise and had rhythm.



Because of the missing space in the house he couldn’t play drums from the beginning, but as soon as the moment was there he started studying drums. His first teacher was Johan Debaedts. Johan taught him everything.. From the technical part of drumming till creating a own unique sound. Jan graduated on May 22, 2007 in the 'Haspengouwse Muziekacademie' with a grade of 95%.



After a few years Jan realised that drumming had to be more than a hobby for him and because of some studyproblems he went looking for an appropriate study to continue his beginning career.. He ended up in Rotterdam, more specific in the Rotterdam Pop Academy. He did the auditions and was one of the lucky 4 who could start the education.



In Rotterdam he is coached by Juan van Emmerloot and Hans Eijkenaar. Jan is an allround drummer with lots of band experience, and plays music going from latin to rock and classic to dance..
