Ian Roberts is a British drummer, composer and producer, who was born and brought up in a small mining community called Rawmarsh near Kilnhurst. At age 12, then at Rawmarsh High school, Ian was taught percussion, drums and piano for five long years.
Not before long Ian Roberts was performing in the school orchestra, and after that The Hoyland Town brass band followed by the South Yorkshire Symphony and short stretch with the Halle Orchestra in Manchester.
He has also given hundreds of drum clinics in schools over the past decades.

Ian co-wrote songs and played some tracks on Iron Maiden founder Steve Harris' debut solo album 'British Lion', which was released in 2012.
