She began to play tambourine in 1992 and several years later she learned playing Daf from her father. In addition to her efforts in the field of music Hanna Kamkar has also been active in other fields of art such as theater, television and photography.
Hanna Kamkar joined the Kamkars in 2003 and performed as a chorus singer and Daf player in different concerts inside and outside Iran. She learned the musicallines of singing from Najmeh Tajadod between 1999 and 2003.
She learned professional photography from masters like Bahman Jalali, Mohammad Hossein Faraj and Shahriar Tavakoli from 2000, and put her experiences on display in several group and individual exhibitions. She went to Soureh University in Tehran to study movie direction and was graduated in 2004.

She has already made three short films and was lauded at the Fajr Theater Festival in 2005 for designing the music of the play "a pigeon all of the sudden".
