Guo Xinyue is drummer in the youngest band in China: they started as four 7-year-old kids from Tianjin, co-host city of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.
Guo Xinyue is the only girl in the band. Her mother is also a fan of percussion music. With her encouragement and help, her daughter can even practice with pot covers and chopsticks.
The band is named "20088" because they will all turn eight in 2008,
the three boys and one girl's fame swept across the country with live
performances, television show appearances, YouTube videos and by participating in a number of non-commercial activities, such as the 2006 Asian Beat Music Competition.
In addition, the band has also won recognition from both Chinese and foreign renowned musicians and artists, such as Guo Feng, Zang Tianshuo, Changkuan, among others.
